Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV)

As Christians we are part of what Paul calls the "body of Christ". This helps us understand the intimate connection we have with other believers, and the responsibility we have to love one another and represent Jesus to the world. It is vital for the health of the body that we understand who we in Jesus and abide in Him (Eph 4:16; John 15:4).

Knowing how to function as a body is not easy for us, though, and we often feel disconnected.

We want to know each other as we really are and learn together how to be the body of Christ that God has called us to be. So, if that means taking time to sit over coffee getting to know each other, figuring out the reasons God has brought you here and finding a way to use the gifts God has given you, or if it means addressing some questions you have or helping you tear down walls standing between you and God, we're in this together (1 Cor 12:26).

What's your story?  We'd love to have a chance to get to sit down with you over a cup of coffee at RZ's and get to know each other.  Actually, we don't care if it's over coffee or if it happens at RZ's, but we do want to know who you are and what God's been doing in your life.  If you want to, you can send us a note and let us know you want to get together.

What are your gifts?  Your passions?  God has created you uniquely for a purpose (Eph 2:10), and He's brought you here, now for a purpose.  Maybe you already know why you're here and need some people to come alongside you.  Maybe you need some people to seek God with as He reveals His purposes in your life.  If you think you might need to get involved in a deeper way let us know, we'd love to talk to you about it.

Do you have questions?  Most of us do.  Questions are good because they can open us up to something new, and they can lead us in to challenging places where we are forced to grow.  It's good to have people to question with, because we all have different perspectives, different experiences and knowledge.  If you have questions--big or small--we want to be there with you, so let us know.  It's good for all of us to be challenged to deal with the things that cause tension in our thinking, in our faith, and in our lives.

Are there huge obstacles in the way?  Big issues that seem to run deep, and you can never get away from them?  Maybe you see them as walls between you and God or you and other people.  We'd like for you to know that you can talk about those, too.  Even if it's something that requires extra time or specialized help, we can help you figure out what needs to happen so you can be healthy and understand more fully who God has made you to be.
